This project gave us a heaven sent opportunity to take a very ordinary suburban house from the 1930’s (complete with decorative stained glass window panels) and to do a full blooded architectural makeover of the house, transforming it into a modernist’s dream home.

Our client who runs an advertising agency is fascinated and knowledgeable about the the Bauhaus and the origins of the modern movement in both architecture and design. A client with these particular interests was ideal for a project such as this, and he enthusiastically embraced the modernist nature of our designs. In redesigning the house we have also extended it as much as was physically possible, so as well as being updated, it is now virtually double the size that it started off as.
